"Out'n'About"
in Noosa.. |
|
|
|
Noosa
nicknamed the "Tuscany of the South Pacific" and once
you have stayed here you will see why. It's fantastic. Noosa is
situated on Laguna Bay which has a northern facing beach that is
as safe as any you will find anywhere. With water that we all say
resembles the Bahamas - that crystal blue over white sand stuff,
and with the bay sun drenched all day and the Noosa Hill to protect
you from the wind, it is a perfect spot to enjoy a day on the beach. |

The
Noosa River is a great place to relax and unwind. The promenade
along the river is a favourite gathering place for locals with picnic
grounds, play ground for the kids, and great B.B.Q facilities. On
the riverfront are a number of hire outlets, which will hire just
about anything you can think of. From small tinnies (aluminium boats)
for fishing, catamarans, jet skis, roller blades and other sports
equipment, all needs are catered for. Noosa also has a few charter-fishing
operators for those looking for game fish and a dive outlet for
the Scuba Divers out there. |

The
Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club is a facility that offers the usual
club activities and Weekend Sailing events, where you can sit on
the balcony and watch the yachts fight it out to be first home.
One of the best things to do in the Noosa area is eat. With many
award-winning restaurants of many different cuisine's, the hardest
choice is to decide what and where. The locals all have their favourites,
so just chat away and you will be pointed in the right direction.
One of Noosa's favourite and most beautiful attractions is the Noosa
National Park, which is fiercely protected. 432 hectares of tranquil
rain forest, coastal walks and tracks, it is a great way to see
the natural vegetation of the area, home to many native animals,
spotting Koalas is common. |

I
highly recommend the coastal track, it offers fantastic views, access
to sheltered coves and glorious beaches. All up it is a 2.7 km walk
and the view from the Hells Gate is a must. If you are into shopping,
your destination will be Hastings Street, with many of Australia's
best shops, you had better pack that credit card. exclusive is probably
the catchword with a large variety of outlets to tempt you. |
